About this job
Supported Internships are designed to develop transferable skills, knowledge and work place behaviour to help secure paid employment. Through training and direct work experience young people will develop employability skills, self-confidence, job specific skills and Maths, English and ICT skills whilst working alongside employees in a real employment setting. The Hackney Council Supported Internship is either based at council offices or at Homerton University Hospital.

Structure of the programme
This Supported Internship takes place over 10 months from September 2020 - July 2021.
Interns work Monday - Friday, 9am-3:30pm, across an academic year, with breaks for half term.
Each intern will be undertaking 3 different placements with the purpose of building the necessary skills to be able to get the job they want by the end of the programme.
