About this job
Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a high performing and flourishing organisation serving the population of Hackney, East London, The City and beyond.
We are very proud that the CQC has recently rated Homerton Hospital’s A&E department as 'Outstanding' medical care at the hospital as 'Outstanding', and our acute services and community services for adults, children and young people as ‘Good’.
Our integrated Trust provides comprehensive hospital and community health services for its local population and a range of specialist services for a wider group of patients. These specialist services include obstetrics, neonatology, foetal medicine, fertility, neuro-rehabilitation, bariatric surgery, and asthma and allergy services.
The local City and Hackney community served by the Trust is highly diverse with a complex mix of clinical and cultural needs. Good working relationships, strong multi-agency working arrangements and integrated pathways already exist between hospital and community health services, primary care, local authority and mental health services.
The trust is an active partner in bringing different services together across City and Hackney to provide integrated care closer to home, and in the development of an ‘Integrated Care System’, of which the Trust is a major partner, which aims to bring together health and care services, the wider community and voluntary sector to work closer together to provide great services for local people in City and Hackney.
Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is proud to have been included on the HSJ and Nursing Times Best Places to Work list, and has recently achieved 'Excellence' status in the Healthy Workplace Charter, as awarded by the Greater London Authority.
Thank you for expressing an interest in providing your expertise to Homerton and the NHS at this extremely challenging time.
We have many wards and departments that need additional support to manage the increased number of patients, and your offer of help is very much welcomed. You will be fully supported on your arrival here at Homerton, and we will arrange an induction to help you settle in.
We are really keen to get you set up on our temporary Staff Bank, as a Staff Nurse, as quickly and efficiently as possible. This will enable us to find appropriate work for you and to pay you on a weekly basis.
In order to help us do so, please follow the instructions below to register with Trac (if you haven’t previously) and complete the short application form. In the supporting statement of the application form please confirm if there are any areas where you would particularly like to work. You are not, however, required to complete a long supporting statement.
Once you have done this we will contact you to ask you to complete some paperwork and ask you send us copies of your ID so that we can register you on our system.
Once again, thank you for your offer of support. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Homerton.
